This 25 cent casino chip is from the famous illegal New Southport Club which was located at 1300 Monticello St, Jefferson Parish, Louisiana. The club was purportedly owned by Carlos Marcello who allegedly was the local mafia boss. It operated from the 1940's to the 1960's.
