Foreign Currency

So many to choose from! So which country should you collect? There are a lot of answers to this question, so start by collecting a country that has a special meaning for you or one that has lots of colorful, yet inexpensive notes. Countries that have various topical items appealing to your taste can include boats, trains, animals, people, allegorical scenes, values such as 1000 Yen, or birds, and more, can be found. Collecting foreign paper is enjoyable and educational at the same time.

I recommend the "Standard Catalog of World Paper Money" general issues 1368-1960, 12th edition, Krause Publications. Every foreign paper money collector should use this as a reference along with the book that covers paper money from 1961 to present. You can find more information on our books page.
