Steep yourself in history, travel and education as you dig into collecting world coins. There are many countries to choose from and most foreign countries are inexpensive to collect. World coins are readily available at coin shows, on the internet and through mail order. I find that a lot of people from other countries now living in the United States, look for their native country’s coins. Others collect foreign coins because their parents or grandparents live elsewhere in the world or migrated from another country. In addition to regular circulating coins of a particular country, there are now trial strikes, patterns or medallic issues made that collectors can choose from.
